  Post vehicle, wheeled, ground-testing. After a short pause caused by things in life that have required my undivided attention, I’m back & ready to get busy.   So, the on-road testing would be considered a success, and the “hybrid-assist” effect is undeniable. The “failures” encountered within that round of testing were due to the prototype building methods and materials. It is hard to justify the cost in time and materials for a more durable build when it is being taken apart and changed multiple times. Total cost of materials for a single planet gear, without the weight, is around $8 US. The cost of a machined, straight toothed, drilled hole center, spur gear of the same size is around $200 to $300 US. In that light, the component failures are an acceptable offset to the cost differential. Page 7, Limits of Magnetic Type Traps (Stops)

March 29, 2020 The outer stops/traps are the next (last?) item to get working properly. Roy (Thornson) stated that the planet traps (stops) could be either mechanical or electromagnetic and that they should act as a braking system that would momentarily restrain the pendulum weights and release them at the correct moment in the planet’s orbit & rotation. When the weight is released it snaps outward in the direction of desired movement pulling the unit forward. Now having tried several variations of stops/planet traps, I can see that this is a very important part of the unit that enhances its functionality as much if not more than any other single component does. It seems to be all about “steering” the weight into a position where it can “whip” outward at the correct time. At this time, several methods have been attempted to steer (or trap) the weight(s) with some limited success. Because the PIE is so closely bound to the many years of dedicated work of Brandson Roy Thornson, I am providing some of the most  pertinent  info I have for anyone interested. I have uploaded copies of the book “Inertial Impulse Propulsion Engine of Brandson Roy Thornson”, the “Thornson Physics” full movie-length video, and the Thornson U.S. patent.  They are saved t o a Google Drive that I only use for sharing information.  Here are links to each of these works,.  Please note: The video's quality is rather poor at times. It was recovered from old VHS tape format which was degrading in storage. Also note: The book seems a bit disjointed, or out of order. This is exactly as it was published and delivered to me.
